The characters are good, and I loved both the central characters of the book. Though from the looks of it, it will not be an easy task. Very soon, Stella would have to rethink this arrangement of practice dating that she has going on with Michael. He is the tough-on-the-exterior-soft-in-the-interior kind of guy who Stella is now finding hard to resist. Michael Phan, who is extremely good looking with his half-Swedish-half-Vietnamese exotic looks and with a body that seems to be carved out in stone, is a patient and kind man.

I listened to the audiobook and it was wonderfully narrated, which made me enjoy the book even more! In fact, I enjoyed it so much that I’ve already got myself a copy of the second book in the series The Bride Test. I found the story to be really sweet though, and I liked the male lead immensely. I didn’t know too much about the book before agreeing to a buddy read with a few Bookstagram friends, and boy was it racier than I was expecting! It certainly made for a hilarious discussion within our group, as we tried to work out exactly what ‘porn star nipples’ actually were, and all agreed that we’d rather the author called her lady parts anything other than ‘her sex’. The Kiss Quotientby Helen Hoang (narrated by Carly Robins) is a pretty steamy read about an autistic girl who’s looking to improve her skills in the bedroom.
